Our design intent is to establish stronger connections to the existing back yard and provide additional privacy while evoking a sense of 1950s modernism. A crushed stone path lined with a clipped European Hornbeam hedge and a thicket of chokeberry creates a new entry connecting the parking area to the house. The path leads to a crushed stone garden court to be used for entertaining adjacent to the kitchen. A white-stained cedar fence built on top of a concrete block wall creates privacy. The existing garage has been converted into a new study, and a specimen multi-trunked redbud tree provides early spring color.
